Cruise port distance & sailing time calculator

Pick any two of the 1,555 mapped ports in our directory to get the great-circle distance and an estimated sailing time at cruising speed.

This is the great-circle (straight-line) distance between the two ports' coordinates, not the actual navigable sea route — coastlines, canals, straits and port traffic will add real distance and time. Treat it as a fast lower-bound estimate for comparing itineraries, not a substitute for an actual cruise line's routing.

Why this tool exists

Cruise itineraries are often sold by night count and port list, without telling you how far the ship actually has to sail between calls, or how much of a sea day that implies. This calculator uses the same coordinate data behind our 1,555 port guides to give you a quick, honest distance and time estimate for any two ports — useful for sanity-checking back-to-back itineraries, repositioning cruises, or just satisfying curiosity about how far apart two ports really are.

Coordinates are available for 1,555 of our 1,633 profiled ports; a small number of ports without confirmed coordinates in our source data aren't selectable here yet.
