Privacy

PortPedia is built as a static reference directory. The pages you read are server-rendered HTML; we do not require accounts, do not store user-submitted content on the public site, and do not run client-side analytics that profile individual visitors.

Server logs

Like any web server, the host platform records standard request logs (timestamp, requested URL, response code, user-agent string, and originating IP address). These logs are used for operational diagnostics — investigating errors, identifying broken links, and detecting abusive crawl patterns. Logs are retained for a short rolling window and are not joined with any other dataset.

Cookies

PortPedia does not set first-party tracking cookies. The site may set strictly-functional session cookies if interactive features (such as preference toggles) are added in the future; any such cookies will be limited to the necessary scope.

Third-party advertising

Marked ad slots on the site may serve programmatic advertisements via Google AdSense or a comparable network. These networks may set their own cookies and may collect interaction data per their respective policies. Visitors based in jurisdictions with consent requirements (EU, UK, California, and others) will see the consent prompts required by those jurisdictions before personalized ads are served.

Outbound links

Many port pages link to external references (notably Wikipedia and openly-published port authority pages). Once you follow an outbound link, the privacy practices of the destination site apply.
